Water treatment is any process that upgrades raw water so that it meets a specific end-use—whether for human consumption, industrial supply, recreation, or restoring rivers, lakes and other environmental reserves.
Access to clean water is a fundamental human need, yet as populations rise so does pressure on this finite supply. Treating and reusing wastewater is therefore the only way to keep the cycle going.
By stripping out pollutants and pathogens, treatment systems deliver water that is safe to drink, cook with or feed into industrial lines. Today, however, nearly two billion people still rely on sources that are faecally contaminated or wholly untreated; reliable treatment infrastructure breaks this chain of exposure, cutting outbreaks of cholera, typhoid and other water-borne killers.
Equally important, cleaned effluent can be returned to rivers, lakes or oceans without smothering aquatic life or triggering algal blooms. Plants must meet strict discharge limits to keep nutrients, heavy metals and micro-pollutants out of the wider environment, ensuring the water re-enters the natural cycle as an ally, not a threat.
◆ Raw water buffer system:including raw water valve, raw water tank and raw water pump, etc.
◆ Pre-treatment system:including mechanical filter,activated carbon filter,softener and security filter.
◆ Pasteurization device:including heat exchanger,temperature sensor,and control valve.
◆ Primary reverse osmosis system:including booster pump, RO module, valves and detection instruments.
◆ Secondary reverse osmosis system:including high-pressure pump,RO module and valve]and detection instruments.
◆ EDI system:including high-pressure pump,EDI host,valves and detection instruments.
◆ Purified water tank:Product water storage tank,equipped
with hydrostatic level transmitter, temperature transmitter and electric heating respirator.
◆ PLC fully automatic control system:including electrical control, pneumatic control and software operating system.
Treatment technologies are tailored to the water’s final destination. The three dominant categories are:
Household Systems(Two main configurations)
Point-of-use (POU) – pitchers, faucet attachments, under-sink reverse osmosis, etc.
Point-of-entry (POE) – whole-house softeners, UV sterilisers, pressurised storage fed by municipal mains or private wells.
Industrial Treatment
Factories condition water both before and after production. A beverage plant, for instance, must purify ingredient water to food-grade standards, while an automotive assembly line treats effluent so it can be recycled or safely discharged.
Wastewater Treatment
Any stream altered by human activity—sewage, grey-water or storm run-off—qualifies as wastewater. Centralised or on-site processes strip out pollutants so the resulting effluent can re-enter the hydrological cycle without harming ecosystems.
